In addition to our in-house services we are pleased to offer the following through our work with subcontractors:
Galvanizing / Plating - the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel in order to prevent it from rusting. The most common method is hot-dip galvanising where the steel is submerged in a bath of molten zinc.
Pickling and Oiling - the process of removing rust and scale and applying a thin layer of oil to protect the surface and guard against atmospheric corrosion.
Powder Coating and Paint - a coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder and used when a durable finish is required, tougher than conventional wet paints. When the item is covered the object is put into the oven to be cured. Whilst in the oven, the powder goes through a chemical change where it becomes free flowing and forms a ‘skin’ around the object. After cooling, the powder is ‘set’ and forms a hard and durable long lasting finish.
